The Right Home Is Worth the Wait

Sometimes we’re asked, “Why do you still have a puppy at 6 or 7 months old?”
For us, the answer is simple: we’re not in a hurry.
We believe the right home matters more than the fastest home. If the perfect family hasn’t come along yet, our puppies stay with us, continue learning, growing, and being loved until that match is found.
Winston was one of those puppies—and today, he found his family. 🤎
There can be so many wonderful benefits to bringing home an older puppy.

By this age, families often have a much clearer picture of temperament, energy level, personality, and adult size. Older puppies may also have a head start with crate training, potty training, basic manners, sleeping through the night, leash work, and simply understanding how to live in a home.
For some families, skipping the tiny-puppy stage can actually be a huge plus.
Winston was never “left behind,” and there was never anything wrong with him. He was simply waiting for the right people to find him.

And today, they did. 🤎
The right match is always worth waiting for.
